A large hardwood, Brushbox grows from the central coast of New South Wales to central Queensland. The tree tends to be found on the edge of rainforests.

Brushbox is sought-after for its unique properties and aesthetic appeal. The timber has a close and even grain, giving it a very smooth finish. Colours range from pink-browns to red-browns, often with hues of grey.

Often sought after but hard to find Brushbox is considered a boutique floor.

In 2000 it was use extensively throughout the Olympic buildings. This caused a shortage of the timber for quite some time, however stocks have improved and usually available at the time of request but it advisable to secure this timber well in advance if possible and avoid any chance of disappointment.

Available in 80mm, 85mm and 130mm boards in width. Select and Standard grades.

You can view this timber flooring in our showroom 7 days a week. We have it on display finished in a Matt Treatex hardwax oil.
