We had our spotted gum flooring installed just over a year ago and we are delighted with it. With three children we needed something hard wearing and this flooring has proved its resilience and looks beautiful. Craig and his team at Connollys offered excellent advice on the different types of flooring to suit our needs and were very accommodating fitting in around our renovations which did not always run according to plan! We always knew that one of the most important aspects of our recent renovation would be the selection of our timber floor. We were after something a bit different and eclectic. Really pleasant surprise yesterday after finding Connollys Timber on Google and then checking them out on Facebook. We drove across to their showroom (easy parking, always good with a speedy four year old and a 7 month old and his pram!) We had in our head what we wanted, based on a few friends that had said what they thought would look good. Craig at Connollys explained all about what we had chosen and why a different type of timber might be a better choice. He took the time to help us choose, explain measurements and what we’d need, and then help us understand what we’d have to do to prep the boards and which sealant did what and how to apply etc. We left with all the info we’d need to make an informed decision (..and with my 4yo having had a turn on their pinball machine! He was one happy kid) ..and have subsequently placed an order for the timber we need. Customer service is largely void in this day and age, and having experienced the level of customer service that Connollys provide, even before we’d agreed to purchase anything was truly refreshing! I will follow up this post with another on how the rest of the job goes. Thanks Connollys!

Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant……After visiting their beautiful showroom to seek assistance with our current flooring dilemma on a recent building project which was proving to be frustrating and over schedule, we found Connolly’s knowledge, expertise, and professionalism to be outstanding. Both Glenn and Greg were fabulous…..Everything went to plan – no delays! with the spotted gum flooring laid by Roc and his team within 2 days – unbelievable. They took into consideration our need to continue working over the long 4 day weekend and worked late to have it fully installed. Roc’s communication and meticulous approach geniunely surpassed our expections.

Just finished installation this week. Great ‘bricks & mortar’ showroom, lots of information on the website, helpful staff, extremely-efficient, hard-working, professional crews for laying and polishing, lovely outcome. The way the house should have been when they built it 30 years ago.

We went looking for an Ecosmart fireplace and couldn’t resist purchasing the XL900 once we saw it in action in the beautiful show room at Connolly’s. Even though they were busy Craig and the team we so helpful and informative. We will also be back to buy the decorative timber screening. Definitely worth a visit!

I am so pleased with the outcome of this project! The floor looks great. I had been anxious because I thought the job might be a little tricky with the way my kitchen went in, but they managed to work through it and get it looking seamless. The team, everyone, was cheerful, friendly, and, very importantly, meticulous and hardworking (they came late in the evening to finish the job so that I didn’t have to wait another day). They had been completely upfront about any additional costs that I may incur so that I could budget reasonably well for it, and happily, it was within! So thank you!!

After what turned out to be a stressful building experience I was thankful that I was put in touch with Connolly’s. The expert guidance helped me to understand the best options available and I was pleased that they were able to source the exact same timber to suit the staircase so everything flowed. The floorboards turned out to be the centrepiece to my home; they are the first thing people comment on as they walk through the entrance. I also appreciated that the flooring people came to fix damage caused by another tradesman even though it wasn’t their issue. Overall, very pleased.

The guys here are fantastic if you just want to get some wood. They never give you attitude about not knowing what you want, and are happy to walk around showing you bits until you find what you need.

Care Connect Ltd thanks you for your heart felt generosity. Your donation of timber is assisting a young boy with cerebral palsy who is wheelchair bound. He and his family were caught up in the tragic bushfires that affected the Yarra Glen region and unfortunately lost their home. They can now complete the flooring of their shed to store their belongings at their new home in Ferntree Gully. We are very impressed with the skills of Grant. We had New England Oak installed on both floors. Grant did an excellent job. Perhaps the master piece of his work is our stairs. It was no easy task for him as he had to remove the balustrade and saw off the overhanging edges of each stair. Grant not only showed true professionalism in his work but excellent people skills and commitment to the task. The stairs are now our centrepiece.
